Top 5 Rides in EPCOT

Let’s follow the pixie dust trail and discover our 5 top rides at EPCOT!

EPCOT has so many wonderful things to do, even for children. This beautiful park is packed full of food, culture, arts, science, and adventure. We always love going to their festivals and special events. They have added some new rides recently that brought this park to a new level. Here are our top 5 rides at EPCOT

Frozen Ever After:

Voyage over to wintery Norway and hop into a vessel and float along Arendelle while singing along with some of the famous Frozen songs. This is a slower water dark ride with beautiful lighting and animatronics that seems to come to life. There is a small slightly exhilarating drop (careful your pants might get wet) along with a fun photo opportunity. Our family always looks forward to this ride and I must say the queue is intriguing. It truly feels like you are in Arendelle. Take time to see the tall wooden troll in the gift shop at the ride exit. After riding, go catch an autograph and picture with Elsa or Anna around the corner.

Living with the Land:

Our next ride is located in World Nature at EPCOT. This is a very gentle boat ride that rarely has a wait. Cruise past scenes and through greenhouses that teach you about the history of farming, the agricultural innovations that Disney uses here in the park to help provide food for the guests and the animals! This is a great ride to escape the heat and just relax. Our little one could ride this ten times back to back and we probably have done just that! If you have to do a rider switch at Soarin’, this ride is an excellent way to pass the time and learn a thing or two.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure:

Now we’ll trek clear across the park near the Skyliner to France in World Showcase. This area of the park is so magical and the food is “magnifique.” Enjoy the romantic stroll toward the back of France where you will find the riveting ride of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. You will hop into an adorable rat straight from the movie, put on your special glasses, and zoom off on your adventure. When you look around you realize, you have shrunk down to Remy’s size and are a part of his family trying to make it safely through the hustle and bustle of Gusteau’s kitchen. There are even some surprises to your senses on this exhilarating ride. After exiting there is an adorable Vespa and fountain that make great photo opportunities.

Soarin’ Around the World:

Right next to Living With The Land in World Nature is a cinematic adventure through the sky, Soarin’ Around The World. This ride has a 40 inch height requirement and is a family favorite! On Soarin’ you will take flight on a beautiful journey as you soar over some iconic wonders and sights around the world. This ride appeals to all of the senses and really ties well into the places you will see and experience on the other side of the park in World Showcase. Our children were eager to learn more about the awe-inspiring sights they saw on Soarin’ and we took advantage of the moment to educate them. For the best viewing experience and to help anyone in your family that may get motion sickness we highly suggest asking for B1 or B2. Happy hang gliding!

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind:

Our #1 pick and newest attraction in World Discovery in EPCOT is the exciting new roller coaster Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! It is the home of Disney’s first ever reverse-launch and is one of the largest indoor coasters in the world. The Disney Imagineering team innovated this roller coaster so that it rotates 360 degrees so they can direct your focus on all of the action. Your job is to help the Guardians of the Galaxy on an urgent mission in a space pursuit across the cosmos to save the galaxy. The re-ride ability for this coaster is off the charts. There is a rotation of songs being played and even special holiday songs. You may ride it three times during your stay and have a different musical experience each time! Due to the popularity of the ride, this attraction currently has a virtual queue instead of a traditional standby line. Guests may also purchase an individual lighting lane to gain entry. For guests staying at Disney’s deluxe resorts there is a special virtual queue for Extended Evening Hours.

Honorable Mention:

Test Track is a thrill ride located very close to Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. On this ride you design a virtual vehicle and take it out for a high-octane spin to put it to the test. This ride is thrilling and one that our daughter requests frequently. It does however shut down frequently due to part of it being exposed to the outdoor elements. If you have to do a rider swap on this one, I highly suggest going to explore somewhere close by while waiting for your family due to the loudness of the ride and how long it can take for the first half of your party to get through the line.

Pixie Path Pointers:

VIRTUAL QUEUE opens at 7am every morning and is full almost immediately. Try being off of the Disney resort Wi-Fi and being outside on your phone’s data. Your Pixie Path travel agent can give you all the tips to give you the highest chance of success.
